Self-Exclusion

If you want to step away from Philippine online casinos entirely, PAGCOR’s self-exclusion program blocks you from every licensed platform at once (not just one casino). You choose how long: 6 months, 1 year, or 5 years. The first six months cannot be reversed once you apply, which is actually the point. It takes the decision out of your hands so you don’t have to fight it every day.

Deposit Limits

Every PAGCOR-licensed casino we review lets you set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits in your account settings. Set these before you think you need them. It’s much easier to decide your limit on a normal day than in the middle of a rough session.

How to Check If a Casino Is Legit

Search for the casino’s name or domain. If it’s not there, don’t deposit.

Things Worth Knowing About the Law

You need to be 21 to gamble in the Philippines. Online and land-based. All PAGCOR-licensed platforms are required to verify your age before you can play for real money. This isn’t just a rule on paper — it’s enforced at the KYC stage.
E-sabong is illegal. Online cockfighting has been banned since May 2022. Any platform currently offering it is operating outside the law, regardless of what license it claims to have.
Not all casinos that you see online are PAGCOR-licensed. 1xBet, for example, runs on a Curaçao offshore license. You can use it, but if something goes wrong, you’re not under Philippine regulatory protection. Disputes go through Curaçao, not PAGCOR (good luck with that).

How to Spot a Fake Casino or Scam

Fake APK files
Only download casino apps from the casino’s own official website or the official App Store. Never install something from a link in a Facebook post, Telegram group, or chat message. Fake APKs are either malware or rigged versions of the game.
Copycat domains
Scam sites use URLs that look almost identical to the real thing. For example, one letter off, a different extension, an extra word. Always check the full URL before you enter your password or card details. Type it directly rather than clicking links when you can.
Fake celebrity promo codes
Kim Domingo is not DMing people Bet88 codes. Vic Sotto is not sending exclusive PlayTime bonuses through Facebook Messenger. Derek Ramsay is not in that group chat. If a celebrity ambassador is allegedly offering you something privately, it’s a fake account. Report it.
Giveaways that make you follow a gambling page
These are legal but worth understanding clearly. Following a casino page to enter a raffle means that page can send you gambling ads and promotions for as long as you stay following. That’s the actual mechanic behind the giveaway. Make the decision knowingly.
Bonus amounts that don’t add up
If a casino is advertising a ₱100,000 welcome bonus with no clear terms attached, read the fine print before you get excited. Legitimate casinos publish specific, accessible terms. If you can’t easily find them, that’s a warning sign on its own.
