How We Review Online Casinos in the Philippines

Most casino review sites in the Philippines copy information from each other or worse – copy-paste the text from ChatGPT. We don’t work that way.

Every casino on ScatterGamesPH.com is tested by a real person and with real money. This page explains what we do and why we do it, so you know what our reviews are worth.

Why This Matters

When you deposit ₱500 into a casino you never used before, you’re trusting that the information you read somewhere was accurate. We take that seriously. Wrong payment information, expired bonus, or a missed fake site warning can cost real money. Our job is to make sure that doesn’t happen because of something we wrote.

What We Test Every Single Time

1. Creating a Real Account

We register on every casino we review using the standard process a new player would go through. No special treatment, no affiliate shortcuts. We record:

  • How long the registration takes and what personal information is required
  • When you need to do your KYC verification (upfront or only at withdrawal). If the KYC process is slow, unclear, or asks for more than expected, we say so.
  • How easy the whole process feels to someone doing it for the first time

Every casino review includes a “Last Tested” date so you know how recent this was.

2. Original Screenshots

Every screenshot in our reviews was taken by us, from our own account, during our own testing session. We capture:

  • The registration page
  • The home screen after login
  • The deposit page
  • Payment screens
  • The withdrawal page
  • Casino lobby
  • Slot games and live casino
  • Promotions page
  • Customer support chat
  • Withdrawal confirmation

These screenshots don’t exist anywhere else.

3. Testing Deposits

We deposit real money, usually using GCash, since it’s the most common payment method. Then we record what happens:

  • Which payment methods are availablr
  • Which payment method we used
  • How much we deposited
  • How long it took to appear in the account
  • If any additional verification was required
  • Any errors or friction in the process

For example:

  • Payment method: GCash
  • Amount: ₱500
  • Processing time: 18 seconds
  • Issues: None

4. Testing Withdrawals

Knowing if it is easy to withdraw your winnings is very important. When we test, we request a real withdrawal and time it from submission to arrival in our GCash. We record:

  • The amount
  • The exact time we submitted the request
  • The exact time the money arrived
  • Total processing time
  • Any delays, questions from support, or KYC holds

For example:

  • Requested: 7:42 PM
  • Received: 7:56 PM
  • Total: 14 minutes

We note the amount and time of day since both can affect processing speed. A ₱500 withdrawal on a Tuesday afternoon may behave differently from a ₱5,000 withdrawal on a Saturday night. We tell you what we tested and let you draw your own conclusions about the rest.

5. Contacting Customer Support

We contact support on every casino we review with at least two or three real questions. We ask things like:

  • Bonus terms and wagering requirements
  • Withdrawal limits
  • Account verification timelines
  • Payment methods

We record the response time, the quality of the answer, the presence of a human agent, and if we used live chat or email. We include screenshots. If a support agent gave a vague or unhelpful answer, that goes in the review.

6. Mobile Performance & Experience

Since most Pinoys use a phone when they play, we test every casino on Android. Where possible, we also test on iPhone. We take a note of:

  • How fast the site or app loads
  • How easy the navigation is on a small screen
  • If the most popular games perform well or lag
  • The APK installation process
  • Any crashes or errors

If a platform works well on desktop but poorly on mobile, that’s a problem for most of our readers, and we say so directly.

7. Playing the Games

We play a few games on every casino we review. Mostly scatter, but sometimes also live casino and table games. We test:

  • Loading speed for individual games
  • How the games perform during play
  • General feel of the game library

One important note: we do not make claims about RTP or bonus frequency based on short sessions. A few hundred spins tells you almost nothing statistically meaningful. What we describe is our actual experience — how the games felt, whether they loaded smoothly, and whether the library covers what Filipino players actually look for.

8. Celebrity Endorsers

We verify every celebrity endorsement claim before including it in a review.

This matters more than you think. In our early days, we discovered that some casinos claimed that they were associated with celebrities who had no actual partnership with them. With all the AI tools available to anyone, it is easy to fake a celebrity endorsement. Many shady, unregulated casinos do that to earn your trust and make you deposit. A lot of Pinoys got burned this way. So for every endorser mentioned on this site, we confirm:

  • That the partnership is officially announced by both the casino and the celebrity / influencer
  • The nature of the partnership (ambassador, promotional campaign, etc.)
  • If the partnership is still active at the time of publishing
  • If any responsible gaming messaging is part of the campaign
  • We do not mention celebrity names in a review unless the association is independently verified

9. Honest Criticism

Every review on this site includes things we didn’t like. No casino is perfect, and a review that only lists positives is not a review, but an ad. Common issues we look for and report honestly:

  • Slow or confusing KYC process
  • Withdrawal delays or unexplained holds
  • Bonus terms that are difficult to find or understand
  • Poor mobile performance
  • Limited game providers
  • Missing payment methods
  • Weak customer support responses
  • Bad or confusing user experience

If a casino excels in one area and falls short in another, we say both.

10. Verifying Information Before We Publish

Before any review goes live, we verify directly from the casino’s own official website:

  • Current bonus amounts and welcome offers
  • Wagering requirements
  • Accepted payment methods
  • PAGCOR license status (checked against PAGCOR’s own accredited list, not the badge on the casino’s homepage)
  • Current promotions and their validity dates
  • Supported devices

We do not copy information from other websites without independent verification. If we cannot confirm a specific detail from an official source, we will not publish it, rather than guessing.

11. Last Tested and Last Updated Dates

Every review on ScatterGamesPH.com includes two dates:

  • Last Tested: when we most recently used a real account on this casino
  • Last Updated: when the review content was most recently revised

These dates mean something here. When a casino changes its ambassador, updates its bonus structure, or adds a new payment method, we update the review and change the date.

A review marked “Last Updated: July 2026” reflects what the casino actually looks like today, not two years ago.

12. Responsible Gambling

Every review includes a section on responsible gambling tools. We specifically check whether each casino offers: Deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly) Self-exclusion options Reality checks or session time reminders Links to support resources

We also include the PAGCOR National Problem Gambling Helpline number (02) 8248-9568, available 24/7 on every casino review page. This is not a legal formality. It is there because we genuinely believe it should be easy to find.

What We Don’t Do

We do not accept payment from casinos in exchange for positive reviews or higher ratings.

We do not publish reviews based on information provided by the casino’s own PR team without independent verification.

We do not reuse screenshots from other sites or copy review content and update the date.

In some cases, we earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up at casinos through our links (but not all casinos have this). That is how the site is funded and this is, for example, how we can offer the free scatter demos. It does not change what goes in the review. Casinos that fail our testing do not appear on this site, regardless of whether they have an affiliate program, and casinos that perform well earn their place because of what we found during testing, not because of a commercial arrangement.

Our Rating System

We rate each casino across four categories:

  • Trust & Fairness: PAGCOR license status, operator transparency, player protection tools, known complaints
  • Games & Software: library size, provider quality, game loading speed, mobile performance
  • Bonuses & Promotions: welcome offer, clarity of terms, wagering requirements, ongoing promos
  • Customer Support: speed of the response, quality of the answers, availability, communication channels

Ratings run from 1 to 5. We do not give 5/5 scores across the board. A perfect score in any category requires exceptional performance. In our testing, we have not found a casino that is genuinely exceptional in every area simultaneously.

Questions About Our Process

If you have a question about how we reviewed a specific casino, or if you believe information in one of our reviews is inaccurate, contact us at partners@scattergamesph.com or message us on Facebook. We take correction requests seriously and update reviews when evidence warrants it.
